WINNER – DEBT COUNSELLOR OF THE YEAR: HELEN BAINES CAP secured the title of 'Debt Counsellor of the Year' at the Credit Today national awards ceremony. Helen Baines, one of our Bradford head office team, accepted the award in recognition of her dedication in helping some of the most vulnerable people, and encouraging them to persevere with their debt repayment. The Credit Today awards are widely recognised in the UK credit industry. |

WINNER – BEST LEADER AWARD CAP won the 'Best Leader' award at the Sunday Times 'Best Small Companies' award ceremony, fighting off competition from 500 other companies. Building on previous recogniton for excellence, the charity's Chief Executive, Matt Barlow, and Founder and International Director, John Kirkby, have co won the prestigious award. CAP was singled out for its exceptional leadership. An unbeaten 99% of employees voted Matt Barlow and John Kirkby as inspiring leaders and 94%felt that senior managers listened to them. |

WINNER – FIRST PLACE CAP fought off stiff competition from nearly 1000 other companies to claim the 2009 award, becoming the first small company to win two years in a row since the Best Small Companies awards were launched. A massive 97 per cent of our staff felt proud to work for CAP, with 93 per cent also stating that working for the charity was good for their personal growth. In addition, 99.5 per cent felt that CAP made a positive difference to the world we live in. |
