Open a CAP centre
Christians Against Poverty partners with local churches across the UK to deliver top quality debt counselling services, which not only provide a sustainable solution to poverty but also transform lives, both practically and spiritually. We believe that the local church should be at the heart of God’s work. In practice this means that while CAP gives a professional debt counselling tool, the church provides the support, care and welcome to those interested in knowing more.
As we now move towards our vision of having a CAP centre in every town and city in the UK (approximately 500 centres), we hope and pray that you will be a part of our future. Working in partnership with CAP will empower the church with:
- A professional debt counselling service offered free of charge
- A chance for church members to be empowered to serve the community
- An individual or team trained by CAP, working as volunteers or paid staff to set up and run the centre
CAP is committed to working with churches from many different denominations and backgrounds. CAP is not here to simply offer a service to a church, but to establish a relationship and partnership with the church through which we can work together to deliver the service. A key to this relationship is that we share common values, beliefs and ethos. Because of this, we are keen to work with churches who:
- Share our compassion for the poor and needy
- Can demonstrate a growing outreaching culture
- Share our evangelical faith
- Are committed to serving God in an excellent professional manner
