Contact a CAP centre for help

Here at CAP we want to offer the best service we can to help those in need. In order to do this CAP offers in depth counselling face to face at your home. This means that we are only able to offer our services to people living within approximately 30 minutes drive of our local centres. In some centres located in larger cities, we have to limit our services to certain postcodes only. This is due to the overwhelming demand for our service. CAP will help anyone regardless of their religious beliefs.

Self Help Pack

It may be that you feel you can handle your situation by yourself, but just aren’t sure where to start. If that is the case, we would suggest you download a self help pack from Credit Action, an organisation we are proud to be associated with.

Other Organisations

If we are not able to help you at this time there are other organisations you may wish to contact:

  • Many local Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB) offer free debt counselling, and you should be able to get their number in the local phone book. Alternatively, use the search facility on their website to find your local CAB.

  • The Consumer Credit Counselling Service also offer free confidential advice and they can be contacted on 0800 138 1111, or you can visit them on their website at www.cccs.co.uk.

  • Community Money Advice also offer free confidential advice and you can find out more on their website at www.communitymoneyadvice.com.

  • Free confidential advice can also be obtained from National Debtline. You can contact them on 0808 808 4000 or email them at advice@nationaldebtline.co.uk, or look on their website, www.nationaldebtline.co.uk.
