Places are filling up quickly for the 2008 CAP Client Awards. These glittering and inspirational events will celebrate with clients who have overcome poverty, adversity and debt during the past year. Guests are invited to join CAP staff and supporters over a three course meal and live entertainment as we celebrate what God has done in client's live through the incredible work of CAP's centres.

Christians Against Poverty’s first ever ceremony in 2007 was a great success with 500 people celebrating with some very special clients. Awards were given for clients who had overcome the most, been the most committed to change and given the most back. There were also awards for ‘Centre Manager of the Year’ and ‘Support Worker of the Year’. The incredible success of our 2007 event has helped to support a 40% increase in clients helped during 2008 through the money raised on the night, so we are excited by the impact that this year's Awards will have on clients' lives.

Kevin Green was the client who has ‘Given the most back’. He is so grateful for the financial transformation in his life that he has given a generous financial gift to CAP. More importantly, he wanted to return the love he was shown by CAP and our Halifax partner church, so he joined CAP’s prayer team and other church outreach teams. |
