The last two weeks have been packed full, but what a fantastic two weeks they have been! Our UK Client Awards and Fundraising Dinner was at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 13 November and it was a huge success. We recognised the outstanding achievements and determination of some of our clients. Supporters who attended the dinner were inspired to give an astonishing £149,000. Every pound given will go directly towards helping more people in debt. Who knows what stories of God’s power will come as a result of the money raised that night?

After the weekend, I headed out to CAP New Zealand. On arrival, my first task was to prepare for the New Zealand Client Awards. Over 350 people joined us for another night of inspiring client stories and astounding supporter response. The evening raised $220,000 towards the plans to double the number of centres in New Zealand in 2010.

I preached twice on Sunday at two new partner churches. We saw so many people sign up to become Life Changers and people’s hearts to do what they can do to see lives changed yet again humbled me.

It’s incredible to imagine that, since we arrived here just two years ago, CAP has established itself so well. Praise God that He is changing lives here too. Over 200 families have been helped, another 250 will be helped next year and 49 people have become Christians!

Thanks for your prayers – I have really felt God in the midst of all we have done. I fly out to Australia this week, ready for their Client Awards on Saturday, preaching at two churches on Sunday and then off back to the UK. It’s quite a pace but, praise God, we are making such progress! Watch our for next week’s blog with all the news from CAP Oz!
